“You never have to advertise a fire. Everyone comes running when there’s a fire. Likewise, if your church is on fire, you will not have to advertise it. The community will already know it.” + Leonard Ravenhill
We are beginning a teaching series that we think will be brutally relevant for our church as we enter this “soft-launch” season. Simply put, it’s a series on community. A series exploring the sort of community we are called to be. The sort of community that is known by it’s radical love. A community that embodies the person of Jesus. We believe nothing could be more compelling to our city and state.
You’ve probably seen this paragraph floating around our church materials for the last few months:
Over the couple of months we will explore these values (and a few more like sexuality, authenticity, and humility) by looking at the early church described in the book of 1 Thessalonians. We will also spend a little time in the book of Ephesians.
